It was supposed to be a short term adventure, but after meeting a local Canadian girl who I would later marry -ski fields, snow storms and red wine around a fireplace became a permanent fixture in my life.”

Bruno Da Motta is the Brazilian-born, globetrotting chef/restauranteur engaged by Traverse Alpine Group who look after Astra to prepare the food and beverage options in this Response.
Bruno is an internationally experienced visionary in his field, with expertise in all aspects of hospitality. He is the principal of Achieve & Co, a Sydney-based hospitality consultancy.
Bruno has 17 years’ experience in global hospitality trends and a deserved reputation for excellence. As well as qualifications in commercial cookery and haute cuisine, Bruno has diplomas in management and food service administration.
Bruno’s life’s mission is to be at the cutting-edge of innovation and standards in the hospitality and entertainment industry. He believes in keeping ingredients fresh, presentation simple and flavour set to “max”.
Back for his third season here in Astra, Luis. Born in Mexico City, Luis brings to Astra’s world class wine cellar a BA degree in Gastronomy and diploma in wines. He likes everything about wines, from tasting to walking amongst the vines.
Bryan, born and raised in Albury has joined the Astra team to provide a private transport option for our guests. Astra welcomed back the very talented Toby Burrowes for the second consecutive year this August working along side our Head Chef Janis Mallet.
Together, they created a wonderful culinary experience which pleased the Falls Creek crowds.
